My Life Philosophy

Work like you don't need the money,

love like you've never been hurt &

dance like no one is watching!

Meet The Team...

I will make a lame attempt to introduce you to the team... As I Blog over the next year you will hear about people in my life that are a part of My Team! They have all been warned... at some point they know that they will all fall victim to my blogging and I want to go ahead and apologize for anything I might say wrong and to anyone I might offend along the way. I love you all... So sorry! Tehehehe
Remember this: You are my angels, and you give me wings when I forget how to fly above it all ;-)
My Hubby - We have been together for a little over 9 years and married for almost 8. He makes me laugh and that is what makes our relationship so unique. He promised me on one of our first "serious dating talks" that if I grew old with him that the only thing he could promise me was that when we were old and wrinkled, sitting on the front porch, he would be making me laugh out loud...

Wenie - My teenager... We have a amazing relationship. She is one of my best friends and yet somehow I have also maintained the parent factor.... She admits she is scared to death of me and also in the same breath she will ask her friends why they don't talk to their Moms about stuff like she can talk to me... I don't know how I did it so don't ask for parent advise because I am just like you... God forgot to mail the instruction manual when I had her at the ripe old age of 20, so I make mistakes too! She is way more of an athlete than I ever was, she is smart as a whip in math ( her dad and I were both English Majors) so if it weren't for the fact that she looks EXACTLY like the two of us I would wonder where she came from... but she is all mine and I am bananas about her!

Bubby - My wild man... He is the first boy born on my side of the family in 5 generations! Yes 5... we have a saying in my family... "The men in our lives are the ones that we chose to bring in and the ones we choose to get rid of" that was true for me as well UNITL Bubby! He is 7 years younger than Wenie and when God brought him into my life I knew for a fact that He had a sense of humor. You will hear many a story about Bub over the next year for sure because he puts the "interesting" factor in our lives...

RiRi - My add on daughter. She came into my life when she was in the first grade and at the ripe old age of 7 years old. She was the first to come up with the grand idea that we could be a "family" and she was extremely excited about the thought of a new sister and she immediately started the other two calling us Mom and Dad... A little awkward when you are just dating but looking back, she was the smart one that saw our future together!!! (speaking of future I will blog about my fortune teller one day and how she predicted all of this!!!) She is precious and I am blessed to have such a sweet additional daughter.

The Con Man - This young man was in Pre-K when I met my hubby and he challenged me to my core. Remember... No boys in my family! EVER!!!! So I didn't know what or how to be in his world and believe me it was his world we were all just visitors on the Con Man Planet... I remember calling his Mom and asking how in the world I was suppose to ever get socks white again! I needed to know if she had a magic trick... She said soak them in bleach water in the sink over night, wash them a couple times and just buy new ones often. I think Wenie was still wearing socks she had owned since she was two! Everything from dirty socks to disastrous playrooms and every toy purchased-- immediately broken or taken apart, was so very new to me I was lost. I must say that seeing him now gives me hope for Bubby... Con Man has turned into a amazing, smart, well groomed and very well mannered young man who the girls swoon over in the big 8th grade! He is also a wonderful addition to my life...

The Ponies!!

Gracie - a yellow lab that Santa brought to our kids when she was 8 weeks old with a big red bow around her neck on a snowy Christmas morning 8 years ago. There were even sleigh tracks in the snow from where Santa had stopped and dropped her off... She thinks she is a Cat... she sleeps about 20 out of 24 hours out of a day. She almost died at one year old when she got hit by a car and since then and thousands of dollars later she is sweet, slow and kind of "Special"...
Miken - a black lab who is about 2 years old and thinks he is Wenie's boyfriend. He is very obedient and a amazing (whisper) dog! He also ate 22 pairs of my shoes before he became this amazing family member! I wasn't sure if I would make it through parent-poniehood back then... :-/
SaraLee - She is the newest foster-pony in the family. She showed up on my door and everyone blames everyone else for her miraculously being fed and being let into the house. She has a lot to learn because she has NO manners at this point, but eventually she will figure out how things work around here. She is sworn to my lil' cousin, and even if she cant take her for another year I will gladly give her to her real PonyMom whenever she is ready for the responsibility.

I will tell you more about other Team Members later but these are the ones that are Family and usually start the majority of the thoughts and stories that pulse through my brain.

These are the parts of my team that mean the most to me! They are my blessing and the reason I want to get up everyday and be a better Mom, Wife, Pony Caretaker and Human...

Signed,

A very blessed girl...
